Companion Planting 💞

It's late summer and I'm being overrun by Basil plants! That's not a bad problem, because I cook with it and share excess with my neighbors. The reason that I planted it everywhere is because it is a "companion plant" that benefits other plants in your garden by repelling harmful insects naturally. Always plant Basil with Tomatoes & Roses in order to keep the aphids away. Gently crush a few leaves and its scent will be more pungent. Other insects that it deters are flies, mosquitoes, cockroaches, weevils, and Japanese beetles.
